Most funded programs put a multi-week evaluation between you and a live account. The Desk does not. You start building a real, skill-based track record from your first trade, can earn withdrawable money right away through Daily Funded Sessions and Rooms, and climb toward larger funded capital as you improve. Here is the whole thing, start to finish.
The Desk is a place to trade real market capital, build a verifiable track record, and get paid for trading well. It is built for serious traders who want a straight path from "I can trade" to "I am paid to trade," without the multi-week evaluation gauntlet that most funded-trading programs put in the way.
Three ideas define it:
You trade real markets, scored on quality. When you trade funded capital here, your reward is tied to how you make your profit, not just how much. Disciplined, well-managed trading earns a larger share; reckless, all-or-nothing trading earns less, even for the same dollar result.
Skill is rewarded, not challenge-passing. There is no pass/fail evaluation standing between you and a live account. You start building your standing from the first trade, and you can earn real, withdrawable money right away through Daily Funded Sessions and Trading Rooms.
You climb. As you trade, you build your Rating, qualify for higher membership tiers, and unlock larger funded accounts with consistent, withdrawable monthly payouts. The ladder runs from a free $10,000 starter account up through funded tiers to as much as $5M to $10M in capital at the top.
Who it is for: traders who want to be measured fairly, paid for skill, and given room to grow. Who it is not for: anyone looking to gamble a single oversized bet, the scoring is specifically designed so that approach earns the least.
It is free, permanently. No card, no upload, no challenge fee. The moment you sign up you are on the Open tier with a real $10,000 trading account and a public trading record that starts the second you place your first trade.
Think of this $10,000 as a test-drive. You use it to learn the platform, find your rhythm, and start building your Rating (more on that below). It is the foundation everything else is built on.
One thing to be clear about up front: the profit you make on the free $10,000 account is not withdrawable on its own. The free account is for learning and for building your Rating. Turning your trading into real, withdrawable money is what the next two steps are for.
When you are ready to get paid, you start a Daily Funded Session. You pay $29.95 and your $10,000 account becomes fully funded for a full 24 hours. You trade it your own way. There is no target to hit and no one to beat.
If you end the day in profit, you keep a share of it, and that share is real, withdrawable money paid straight to your Wallet. How big a share you keep is decided by your Snap Quality Score, which looks at how cleanly you traded, not just how much you made. Controlled risk and steady trading keep the most; a reckless day keeps very little.
That is the core loop. A free account to practice on, and a $29.95 session whenever you want to turn a good day into withdrawable cash.
See exactly how the Snap Quality Score works, with a live calculator →Rooms are the other way to earn from day one. You enter from as little as $7 and compete in a timed contest against a small group of traders matched to your level, usually 20 to 40 people, never a thousand-person lottery.
Finish near the top and you take several times your entry from the prize pool, withdrawable to your Wallet. There are six Room formats running on different schedules, from one hour to a full month, so you can pick what fits your style and your day.
Rooms do double duty: they pay out, and they are how you earn your Rating.
Your Rating is your standing on The Desk. It is a competitive score, the way a chess rating works: you are measured against other traders in Rooms, and placing well moves it up. Everyone starts at a baseline, and your Rating is public.
Competing in Rooms is what moves your Rating most. Your trading results nudge it too, just more gently: trade a funded cycle better than your Rating suggests and it ticks up a little. But Rooms are the main engine.
Rating matters because it is the key that unlocks bigger funded accounts. The more you compete and perform, the higher it goes, and the higher it goes, the more capital you can qualify for.
Once your Rating is high enough, you can subscribe to a funded tier. This is the step up from test-driving the free account to trading real, ongoing capital that the firm provides.
The tiers run from Junior, with a $25,000 account, all the way up to Master at $1,000,000, with a Legend tier beyond that by invitation. Each tier has a monthly subscription, a Rating requirement, and for the higher tiers a Quality Score requirement. As you hold your Rating, your funded account grows month over month until it reaches the tier ceiling.
See the full tier ladder and what each one requires →A funded tier runs in monthly cycles. You trade your funded account through the month, and at the end of each cycle your profit is settled: you keep a share of it, deposited to your Wallet as withdrawable money, and your account resets clean for the next cycle.
Your monthly share is set by the Meritix Quality Score, the bigger sibling of the session score. It looks at 23 different signals across your whole month, things like how safely you sized, how consistent you were, and how broadly your profit was spread. Trade well and the share is high. The score rewards durable skill, not a single lucky month.
See the 23 signals behind the Meritix Quality Score →This is the part traditional prop firms get wrong. On The Desk there is no single rule that ends everything. The free account is always there. A weak Daily Funded Session simply pays a smaller share, not a ban. Your Rating reflects your whole record, not one afternoon.
You build steadily, you get paid for quality, and you are never one mistake away from losing all of your progress.
