Reading Your Breakdown and Raising Your Share

The most useful screen on The Desk. How to read your post-session breakdown like a coach's notes and work the factors in the order that raises your payout fastest.

6 MIN READ · THE DESK ACADEMY

After a Daily Funded Session settles, the dashboard shows your full score breakdown: your Daily Profit Score out of 1000, your profit share, and every factor with a plain-language note on where it landed and why. This is the most useful screen The Desk gives you, because it turns a day of trading into a specific, ranked list of what to fix next. Most traders glance at the number and move on. The ones who improve read the breakdown like a coach's notes.

Read the red first

The breakdown color-codes each factor, and the fastest way to raise your score is to find the one or two factors dragging it down and fix those, rather than trying to lift everything at once. A single weak factor, often drawdown control or exposure, can cost more share than several strong ones earn. Sort your attention by what is red, not by what is interesting. The biggest lever is usually the ugliest bar, not the one you enjoy thinking about.

The order that pays

If you are improving deliberately, work the factors in rough order of impact. Drawdown control moves the score the most, so master shallow drawdown first: 1% sizing, honest stops, no correlated stacking. Exposure is next: keep peak combined leverage modest. Then the repeatability cluster, windfall, holding time and news timing, all of which improve simply by trading planned setups given time to work. Trade count and concentration mostly take care of themselves if you take a handful of real trades. Alpha capture is a non-issue unless you held size through a big move and did nothing with it.

Use the live projection

You do not have to wait for settlement to learn. During the session the projected score and share update live, so you can watch a factor move as you trade. If your projected drawdown-control factor drops after a sloppy trade, that is real-time feedback you can act on before the day ends. Treat the live projection as an instrument on your dashboard, the same way you watch price, and the score stops being a verdict and becomes a tool.

Knowledge pays better with capital behind it.
